About you

Perhaps you're at a bigger agency with 3-5 years behind you, doing good stuff, but looking for more ownership of your work? We're after a creative individual who is structured enough to trust, but loose enough to surprise, who moves fluently between brand, print and web design. You are someone who can develop a visual identity on a Monday and be deep in a web layout in Figma on a Wednesday, with equal care for both. You’d plunge headfirst into new clients as well as nurturing our longtime client relationships. We know from experience that both can lead to fantastic projects. You’re the right person for the job if professional finish, style, clarity, great typography and thinking about the person actually interacting with your work when it lands, really matter. We're after someone who can demonstrate their passion for design, who has an opinion, a vision and a distinctive style. Even better if a sense of personal pride in what you put your name to is key to your work ethic. You’re somebody who is self-sufficient and takes the initiative, who ‘sees beyond’ the brief, supplying what the client has asked for and the work they don’t know they need (yet!).

About us

We are a long-established award-winning brand and web studio based in Chelsea, London. One of our team is moving on after four years and we're looking for the right person to join the team and grow with us. Our studio has a diverse scope of work across the UK and Middle East. We work with dynamic clients across industries such as financial services, legal, real estate, lifestyle, tech and high-end wine businesses. Our approach to our work is applying modern, custom design. It’s typographic, fresh and strikes a balance between expressive and restrained, depending on the brief. Our considered and craft-led house style has been developed over two decades of work with clients who expect the detail to be right. The best part is that you'll have genuine creative input from brief to delivery. Day to day you’ll work with our core team of creative director, two permanent team members and our longtime website developer. We also work with photographers, video makers, illustrators and other freelancers when we need to.

About life

Mostly days are in the studio in Chelsea, but sometimes at home, coordinated sensibly rather than by policy. We're a small team so team working and good time-management are important, but it’s worth knowing that your contribution to our work will be visible and valued. Expect real projects, real clients and a director who invites collaboration, inventiveness and considered feedback (rather than last-minute changes at midnight). Everyone has a voice at the table but ultimately our client brief and their end-user rule the day. Richard, our creative director, will work directly with you, to inspire and collaborate, not dictate. Working with our clients will be part of the job, with meetings part of everyday life, though this will not be an onerous responsibility.

The work

  • Brand identity and visual systems
  • Website design in Figma through to production
  • Presentation design
  • Print and digital collateral

Motion and animation skills are a bonus but not a requirement. If you're the person who spends too long choosing a typeface, we'll get on well.
