What you’ll do:
- Lead site-based surveys across the UK, using our proprietary Material Index platform
- Review and interpret technical drawings and documentation
- Conduct materials research and assess reuse potential
- Collect, structure, and analyse data at building and component scale
- Prepare clear and engaging audit reports for planning, BREEAM and design teams
- Present findings and insights to design and project teams
- Contribute towards digital product development
Desirable skills:
- A diverse software skill set including Revit, BIM
- Knowledge of UK based construction methodology and organisation
- Good verbal presentation skills, data visualisation and graphic design
Growth opportunities:
We see this role as an excellent fit for a recent building engineering/architecture graduate (Part 1 or Part 2) with a strong interest in sustainability, or an experienced building surveyor looking to apply their skills to the circular economy. At Material Index, progression is fast for the right person. With hands-on exposure to projects from day one, you’ll have the opportunity to grow quickly into a project lead role – taking on more responsibility in client engagement, project delivery, and team management.
