Opus Magnum is hiring a sales director/sales lead to join its team in London. Opus Magnum is a design‑led, employee‑owned manufacturer of bespoke contract furniture based in Wandsworth. We work with leading architects, designers, corporate clients and institutions across the UK, delivering high‑quality bespoke furniture that combines creative design with precision making. We are a business with a strong reputation, a skilled and committed team, and real ambition for what comes next.

We’re looking for a commercially minded leader to take ownership of our sales and marketing activity and help shape the next chapter of the business.

The role

This is a senior commercial position with responsibility for the outreach team, marketing, and customer‑facing functions. You’ll set the standard for how Opus Magnum presents itself to clients and the market, lead on business development, and work closely with the director team to translate commercial strategy into consistent, purposeful action. Whether you come in as Sales Director or Sales Lead will depend on your experience and background. What matters most is the right fit: someone who understands the design and contract furniture world, knows how to build relationships, and can lead a team with clarity and purpose.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading and developing the outreach team, driving pipeline activity and ensuring client relationships are managed well.
  • Overseeing CRM, brand awareness, and marketing output including digital, PR and events.
  • Building a culture of continuous improvement across all client‑facing functions.
  • Contributing to director‑level business planning and governance as the business continues to grow.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in a senior sales or commercial role, ideally within contract furniture, interiors, or design sector.
  • A confident leader who can develop people as well as win business.
  • Strong understanding of the B2B client journey and the design community.
  • Someone who takes the long view on relationships without losing sight of commercial outcomes.

What we offer

  • A collaborative, employee‑owned business.
  • Real craftsmanship, a culture of innovation, and a story worth telling.
  • The opportunity to shape a commercial function and grow with the business.
  • Competitive salary, pension, bonus potential, and 24 days holiday plus Bank holidays.

The role is based at our Wandsworth workshop. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Opus Magnum is an equal opportunities employer.
