Carmody Groarke is looking for a new business assistant to join its team in London, with a focus on international design competitions, tenders and strategic opportunities.
The new business assistant will work closely with the associate, new business and communications to support the practice’s new business activity. Responsibilities include:
- Researching new opportunities for the practice.
- Coordinating bid and competition submissions.
- Maintaining new business systems and assisting with preparing high-quality written and visual materials across cultural, heritage, residential, civic and commercial sectors.
- Supporting targeted marketing activity, including preparing materials for prospective clients and collaborators, updating contact lists and opportunity trackers, and gathering relevant project information.
Ideally, you will have experience in a similar role within a relevant industry, demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be expected to have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, to develop submission materials in line with the practice’s graphic standards.
You will work closely with the Associate, New Business and Communications to support the delivery of new business opportunities across the practice. This will include:
- Researching opportunities.
- Coordinating information.
- Tailoring content for submissions.
- Maintaining close attention to detail throughout the bid process.
You will develop a strong knowledge and understanding of the practice’s projects, people and expertise, enabling you to contribute to informed and compelling submissions. You will also support the ongoing development and maintenance of the practice’s new business resources and knowledge base.
The new business assistant should positively represent the practice, liaising with consultants, clients, prospective clients and collaborators with the highest level of professionalism. You will develop strong relationships both internally and externally to support an efficient and successful new business process.
