- PURPOSE OF ROLE
Creation Group is a fast-growing, forward-thinking and full-service brand experience group.
We are seeking a progressive, multidisciplinary creative leader to join our expanding team.
This individual will play a defining role in shaping the future of our creative output.
As Head of Design, you will lead, build, and inspire our creative team, taking ownership of the end-to-end creative process.
Reporting to the COO, you will steer both the company and our clients toward creative success.
You will bring a strong understanding of the pace and complexity of agency life, along with a proven track record of scaling and developing high‑performing creative teams.
Operating in this fast paced environment, this leadership role requires both strategic oversight and a willingness to remain ‘on the tools’ when needed.
- WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Creative
- Providing well‑rounded 3D (modelling and rendering) design, art direction & inspiration to the team to ensure the successful execution of each project.
- Lead the design direction and visualization of pitch work, collaborating closely with Production and Client Services to deliver innovative, impactful creative proposals.
- Developing and maintaining a consistent way of working, design flow and identity to the Studio's creative output and technical output, upholding the creative standards across all deliverables - digital, scenic, presentation, print and beyond - ensuring consistency, quality, and a distinctive aesthetic across both company and client work.
- Elevate overall creative quality by reviewing and approving final output, evaluating project success, and refining future creative strategies and design processes.

- Driving the continued growth and evolution of the Creative Studio by attracting, developing, and expanding a high‑performing network of full‑time and freelance talent.
- Proactively fostering talent and mentoring the Studio team, ensuring the team develop and grow as creative professionals and the Studio culture is maintained - you will be a clear leader of people and manager of workflows and ideas.
- Building strong cross‑functional collaboration with Sales, Production, and other internal teams with a focus on operation efficiency as well as maximal creativity.
- Working closely with the Studio Coordinator, oversee resource planning and team allocation across all projects.
- Manage the creative department budget, ensuring all design projects and concepts are delivered efficiently and within financial scope.
- WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- At least 7+ years experience in the creative industries, ideally both as a hands‑on multidisciplined creative (3D visualization biased) and as a leader.
- You'll ideally have experiential and live event agency experience - particularly useful if it’s an agency with integrated inhouse production services.
- Strong technical skills with a grounding in 3D spatial design and rendering but with strong understanding of graphic design, brand tool kitting and visual identity, basic construction methodology and wider presentation building skills.
- Proven track record in leading commercial as well as creative client facing meetings.
- Commercial acumen both at a project and departmental level.
- Knowledge of the wet‑trade, music festival and wider brand experience industries.
- A curious, technically minded thinker with the desire to challenge and push boundaries staying attuned to global trends and shifts.
- Have a mature, positive and intuitive personality.
- Be an influential and persuasive leader, both within the team and externally.
- Bring an unwavering sense of ambition, drive, energy, and optimism to every challenge.
