TPM Studio is looking for an experienced Part 2 architectural assistant to join its London studio. The role offers the opportunity to take a leading role in the delivery of a diverse range of new-build and retrofit projects across the workplace, residential, education and hospitality sectors. You’ll join a collaborative, design-led practice that values thoughtful architecture, environmental responsibility and a client-focused approach.
This position is suited to an ambitious and highly capable Part 2 Architectural Assistant looking to take the next step in their career, with the confidence to contribute across all stages of live projects. You will work closely with the senior team, taking responsibility for developing design proposals, coordinating multidisciplinary information and producing high-quality technical documentation through to construction.
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum three years’ UK architectural practice experience following Part 1, including substantial experience after completing Part 2
- Demonstrable experience delivering projects through RIBA Stages 2–5
- Excellent understanding of UK planning, Building Regulations and construction detailing
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams and technical information
- Confidence attending client, design team and site meetings
- Proficiency in Vectorworks, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience using Enscape preferred but not essential
- Excellent design, technical and presentation skills, supported by a high-quality portfolio demonstrating both concept design and technical delivery
- Strong understanding of design coordination, construction methods and specification
- Organised, proactive and capable of managing multiple workstreams with minimal supervision
- Positive, collaborative approach with the confidence to mentor junior team members and contribute to the wider studio culture
- Enthusiasm for delivering well-considered, sustainable architecture and continually improving design quality
