Grant Associates is looking for a bid and marketing manager to join its team in Bath, UK. The successful candidate will play a key role in securing new business and supporting the practice’s growth through the production of high-quality bid submissions and marketing content. This role combines bid management (approx. 60%) and marketing responsibilities (approx. 40 per cent). You will manage the full bid lifecycle – from opportunity identification (EOI, RFI, PQQ, ITT, RFP) through to submission and interview stage – ensuring all proposals are compliant, compelling, and visually engaging. The role involves both public and private sector bidding, including frameworks.
Working closely with directors and the design team, you will develop persuasive bid content, manage submission timelines, coordinate internal reviews, and maintain a knowledge library of case studies and standard content. You will also support marketing activities including portfolio updates, award submissions, PR coordination, and digital communications.
This role would suit candidates with bid or proposal writing experience within landscape architecture, architecture, engineering, construction, or a related creative consultancy.
Key responsibilities- Lead preparation and submission of EOIs, PQQs, ITTs, and other tender responses
- Draft and edit bid proposals, case studies, and project descriptions
- Ensure compliance, quality, and brand consistency across all submissions
- Coordinate with directors and technical teams to develop winning bid strategies
- Monitor tender portals (e.g. Tenderstream) for new opportunities
- Manage award submissions and marketing content
- Maintain a library of project profiles, CVs, and marketing materials
- Support PR, media engagement, website updates, and social media content
- Three to five years’ experience in a similar role within landscape architecture, architecture, engineering, construction, or a related sector
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong bid writing and proposal production experience
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft 365
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and strong visual presentation skills
- Collaborative and proactive team player
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple deadlines
