Become a core member of a growing UK team, part of a global creative agency. Flex your production, agenting and artist management skills across a broad range of projects, from illustration and mural installations to animated campaigns. Work with a roster of more than 100 established and emerging artists to deliver work for exciting clients and brands.

We are seeking an Agent & Producer to join our UK office. As part of our core production team, you will work closely alongside all other members of the Jacky Winter staff, including our Australian and US offices, and directly with our represented talent and most valued clients.

About The Role

Working at Jacky Winter is a unique experience which requires an equally unique and dedicated individual. Each day presents new opportunities to work with some of the most forward-thinking creatives, businesses, and brands; acting as one of the driving forces in the creative process, bringing to life ideas and stories of all shapes and sizes.

The Jacky Winter Group is an artist agency and production studio with offices in London, New York City, and Melbourne. Representing over a hundred commercial artists, we solicit and produce thousands of creative briefs a year. Ranging from highly visual campaigns and activations to animated commercials and environmental installations, catering primarily to advertising agencies, brands, publishers, and design studios.

Duties

  • As a producer, you will be a warm and friendly presence on the phone, over email, and in person. Your professional tone and expertise, combined with a sense of humour and passion for the creative industries, will make you a valued partner to our clients, vendors and represented talent.
  • Your primary responsibilities will include the finding, making, and synthesising of new creative briefs. With work ranging from quick-turnaround editorial commissions and above-the-line advertising campaigns, to live murals and animated GIFs for social media, no two days at Jacky Winter are alike.
  • Each new brief will see you prepare treatments or pitch documents, estimates, and proposals, then negotiate fees, usage rights, contracts, deliverables, and timelines with all stakeholders.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving issues as they arise, you will act as a translator between artist and client.
  • As an agent, you will act as the ambassador of the agency, identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities, and growing and strengthening our existing client base in Europe.
  • Your role involves maintaining an in-depth knowledge of both the current and future state of the industry, combined with a thorough understanding of the capabilities of our agency, represented talent, and industry partners.
  • In addition to daily production responsibilities, you'll identify opportunities to connect with new clients.

Below are some actual examples of things our team have done lately that might help you to get a better idea of what this job involves:

  • Negotiated subsidiary rights with an international publisher on a children's book.
  • Worked on Apple's NAIDOC week campaign with one of our Solid Lines artists.
  • Made an artist’s childhood dreams come true through a collaboration with the MBL.
  • Took our artists out for drinks to celebrate summer!
  • Art directed a new piece of promotional merchandise.
  • Worked with multiple artists to help launch a brand refresh for America’s largest retailer.
  • Hosted a workshop at Pictoplasma Berlin.
  • Noted new business leads from an industry publication in our custom CRM software.
  • Packed and mailed out swag packs to new business leads.
  • Organised a live graphic recording/scribing job for an overseas client.
  • Paired an illustrator with an animator to bring a client's vision to life all in one place.
  • Caught up with a new artist to discuss their goals and ambitions.
  • Wrote an article about navigating an uninspiring brief.
  • Founded an agency for artist-content creators.
  • Judged an international awards show.
  • Curated recent illustration projects that caught our eye for our weekly newsletter.
  • Produced multiple short-form animations for a global tech company.

We're all hands on deck here, and you will be making a direct impact on the agency in new and meaningful ways each day, constantly working on big-picture goals without forgetting the small details or hesitating to get your hands dirty.

Requirements

  • Whether you have existing agenting or production experience in the creative industry, or you are looking to expand your established skills in studio administration, arts management or account management, we welcome applications from qualified applicants with at least four years of relevant experience within the creative industry.
  • You will thrive on the challenge and energy of balancing anywhere from 20–30 projects or enquiries at a time, quickly adapting to our internal digital tools to ensure that logistical and creative expectations are being met on both sides of the creative equation.
  • You should naturally be a positive person with a healthy sense of curiosity for people, ideas, and the world around you.
  • General skills required:
    • Experience managing multiple projects or tasks; demonstrated ability to prioritise and traffic multiple tasks as needed.
    • Basic knowledge and appreciation for our current represented artists.
    • Solid decision-making ability and strong attention to detail.
    • Excellence in communication, listening and presentation skills.
    • Excellence in time management.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Basic foundation and competency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Bridge, Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), and Figma, and the ability and interest to continue developing skills and expertise on these platforms.
    • Knowledge or experience with Animation or 3D workflows is beneficial, but not required.
    • Experience in new business development is extremely beneficial.

Culture & Benefits

In addition to an annual salary, we offer a profit-share bonus scheme which can be accessed after twelve months within the role. Other benefits include 22 days of annual leave + public holidays + 3 days of office closure between Christmas & New Year, flexible working arrangements, regular training and professional development and opportunities for local and international travel. A company laptop and tech stack will be provided.

The largest benefit, however, is being part of a truly supportive team. While we work primarily with the advertising and design industries, we don't work inside them as such, and ensuring all staff can sustain a healthy work/life balance is of paramount importance. As a relatively small and close-knit team, we place enormous value on creating a sustainable, inclusive, and friendly culture which revolves around our core values of kindness and creativity.

This role will see you grow your career in new and unexpected ways, witnessing original artwork blossom from a two-line email to a campaign blanketing the city, all while working alongside some of the most inspiring talents across the globe.

Salary range is £35,000-£40,000 per annum, dependent on experience. This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday from 9.30am-5.30pm GMT with overtime as reasonably required. Applicants are required to work from our central London co-working space on Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week, and attend events and meetings as required, so proximity to London is a must.
