AME Facades is looking for a talented architectural technician or architectural technologist to join its growing team in Leeds, UK. AME Facades is a specialist façade design consultancy delivering complex, high-profile building envelope projects across the UK. Working with leading architects, contractors and manufacturers, we provide technically robust, buildable façade solutions from concept through to construction. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual who enjoys solving complex detailing challenges and wants to be involved in some of the UK’s most exciting façade projects.
Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality technical drawings and detailed construction information.
- Develop façade details that satisfy architectural, structural and performance requirements.
- Prepare drawing packages for design, manufacture and installation.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants and contractors.
- Attend design meetings and contribute technical solutions.
- Assist with BIM coordination and clash detection where required.
- Ensure designs comply with current Building Regulations, British standards and project specification.
Qualifications
- Degree or HNC/HND in architectural technology or a related discipline.
- Strong AutoCAD skills.
- Revit experience preferred.
- Excellent technical detailing ability.
- Good understanding of UK Building Regulations.
- A desire to excel in knowledge of façade systems, cladding and building envelopes.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Previous experience within façade design, architectural technology or specialist subcontractor design would be a significant advantage.
