Project Orange is seeking a Part 2 or recently qualified Part 3 architect to join its team in Lavenham, Suffolk, UK. The successful candidate will work on a diverse range of primarily housing projects focusing on sustainability, including new build, renovations, and extensions such as a local Grade 2 listed pub, all within East Anglia.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or contribute to the design of new homes, extensions and renovations with a focus on sustainable solutions.
  • Develop detailed drawings and models using Vectorworks and SketchUp on Mac.
  • Collaborate with the studio team to deliver projects from concept to construction documents.
  • Attend client meetings, site visits and contribute to technical resolution within the studio.
  • Support practice administration and project coordination as a member of the studio.

Qualifications

  • Part 2 registration or recently qualified Part 3 registration.
  • Passion for housing and environmental sustainability.
  • Strong design skills and experience working with Vectorworks and SketchUp.
  • Ability to work independently and take direction within a collaborative studio context.
  • Capability to work in the Lavenham studio four days a week, with a fifth flexible day working remotely or in studio.
  • Eligible to live and work in the UK and able to travel to and from the studio.
