The Role

We’re looking for a highly motivated Junior Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of experience, preferably within an in-house creative team, who is eager to develop their skills across both print and digital design. You’ll support the wider creative team in delivering high-quality, brand-aligned work across a variety of touchpoints, with a strong focus on print and packaging.

In this role you’ll get to:

  • Assist in the creation of design assets across print and digital channels, with a primary focus on print.
  • Design and produce packaging, brochures, posters, menus, event assets, and other printed materials.
  • Create accurate product and packaging mockups, primarily using Adobe Illustrator.
  • Prepare print-ready artwork, including setting up files with correct specifications such as cutter guides, bleed, and Pantone colour matching.
  • Support the creation of digital assets when required, including social media (in-feed posts & stories) and PDP (Product Detail Page) assets.
  • Work across multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, taking briefs and translating them into effective creative outputs.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all deliverables.

What we are looking for in you:

  • 1–2 years of experience in a design role, ideally within an in-house creative team.
  • Strong experience in print and packaging design.
  • Proven ability to create product/packaging mockups, particularly in Adobe Illustrator.
  • Solid understanding of print production processes, including file setup, cutter guides, and colour systems (e.g. Pantone).
  • Good knowledge of typography, layout, and composition.
  • Experience working across both print and digital design (with print as a primary strength).
  • Technical proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop are essential alongside working knowledge of Figma.

We know that imposter syndrome can get in the way of meeting spectacular candidates, so please don’t hesitate to apply even if you don’t tick everything on the list — we’d love to hear from you!

What it means to be part of Tangle Teezer:

  • Proud: We passionately proud to do things differently, so we perform brilliantly‑just like our hair tools.
  • Authentic: We welcome everyone as they are, we bring our true selves to work and show up as who we want to be.

  • Salary from £29k
  • Performance-related bonus of 10% based on annual salary
  • 27 days holiday, with the option to buy holiday days
  • 2 volunteering days per year
  • 10 days working from any location of your choice
  • Flexible bank holidays—choose the standard bank holidays or swap them for dates that are more meaningful to you
  • Free in-office massages

  • Supportive Period & Menopause Policies
  • Enhanced pension scheme
  • Life assurance at 4x your salary
  • Private medical insurance
