We're looking for a junior designer to help create pitch-winning concepts and craft brand identities. You'll be a real part of a small studio, working closely with the whole team on original, strategically-led ideas. If you think in motion as well as still, even better. We're more interested in how you think than in how long you've been doing it. Your portfolio matters more than your CV. We'd like someone who can easily commute to our main studio in Guildford and ideally be in with the team 3 days a week.

What we're looking for:

  • Strong graphic design and typography skills, and a good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
  • You can talk about your work, explaining the thinking behind an idea, not just the output
  • A creative thinker and a maker
  • Curiosity, and an appetite for finding a fresh angle on a brief
  • Great attention to detail
  • A proactive team player who works well in a small team
  • Someone with lots of initiative and who is eager to learn

Nice to have:

  • Motion or 3D (After Effects, Blender, Cinema 4D)
  • Studio, placement or freelance experience

What you'll get:

Live client work from early on, sat next to the people making the decisions with an opportunity to grow your skills and your role at Chaos.

A bit about us:

As a boutique award winning Top 50 design agency, we punch above our weight and boast a roster of high profile client work for the likes of Heathrow, EY, Sony, JPMorgan, RBS, Canon, Nespresso, Zurich and Kenwood, as well as numerous niche SMEs. We also work internationally across Europe and South East Asia and have big ambitions so we’ll be wanting a creative designer with solid creative agency experience - ideally across some of our key client sectors – Financial Services, Technology, FMCG, and Travel. You’ll find our team is a diverse bunch brimming with talent. Firing on all cylinders with a culture that not only takes care of our people, but empowers us to deliver career-defining work. All this means we need more brilliant people. People who will enthusiastically get stuck in with the next exciting part of our story.

We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone, regardless of background, feels valued and empowered. We actively encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds and experiences. We are an equal opportunity employer, dedicated to fostering a culture of equity and respect. We are currently using a hybrid studio/home working model and our head office is based in Guildford. So you will be expected to be in the office for at least 2 days a week, possibly more depending on projects. You can expect to work in a fun but fast paced (at times), creative and inspiring environment with a bunch of equally talented, ambitious creative types. You will also receive a competitive salary, 25 days holiday a year, pension, a company bonus and your birthday off as an extra days holiday.
