Mehrai Design is looking for a creative and organised junior interior designer to work with its London studio. Junior interior designer with two years plus experience. Location: London (studio‑based — London residency required) Type: freelance.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career within a supportive, collaborative small‑team environment, working on beautifully crafted commercial and hospitality interiors. Please note: this is a studio‑based role. Applicants must currently live in London and be available to work from our studio.
The role
You will work closely with senior team members through all stages of the design process — from concept through to completion.
Key responsibilities
- Producing drawings and technical details in AutoCAD
- Supporting space planning, concept development, and mood board creation
- Formatting presentations and managing design documentation
- Procuring samples, managing finishes, and coordinating FF&E schedules
- Researching and sourcing new suppliers, and maintaining the studio materials library
- Assisting with diary management, meeting notes, and general team support
- Supporting the management of studio social media and website content
- Attending site and showroom visits, and assisting with studio administration
Skills and attributes
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Photoshop
- Comfortable using Google Drive, Microsoft Office, and social media platforms
- Strong attention to detail with an excellent eye for materials and presentation
- Energetic, proactive, organised, and solution‑oriented
