Red + White is hiring an experienced Part 2/architect to join its team in London. We are a young, creative practice with a growing portfolio of projects throughout London. We are looking for an ambitious, experienced Part 2 architectural assistant or architect who wants to join an ambitious growing practice to work on an exciting variety of projects from new build houses to medium scale residential developments.
The practice has several projects moving through planning and into construction, therefore the successful candidate will gain quick exposure to construction and detailed design. Experience in technical packages will be advantageous. This is an excellent opportunity to gain a broad experience from feasibility through to completion. You will have a key role in our office to grow your career with us and will be working as part of a small team within an established office environment in Shoreditch, London.
Experience and qualifications:
- Good practice experience and/or Part 3 qualified
- Confidence and experience to run your own projects, whilst contributing to and supporting/mentoring other team members
- Solid technical understanding of buildings and construction details, planning policies, and building regulations
- A portfolio that demonstrates a flair for design and good presentation skills
- An aptitude for design within a tight urban context and the ability to communicate ideas through sketches, 3D visualisations and presentation drawings
- Ability to take on responsibility, multi-task, prioritise your workload and meet deadlines
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Indesign and Revit will also be an advantage
- Strong understanding of construction methods
- Self-motivated, committed and driven
- Excellent written and spoken English
