Moleta Munro is hiring a showroom and sales assistant to join its team in Edinburgh. Moleta Munro is looking for a showroom and sales assistant to help deliver considered, design-led furniture and lighting schemes through the showroom and beyond. This is a full-time position (part-time considered for exceptional candidates) with a salary of £25,000 – £30,000.

About Moleta Munro: Moleta Munro is a contemporary furniture and lighting company based in Edinburgh, specialising in premium, Scandinavian-inspired design. We work with leading global brands to deliver tailored solutions across residential and commercial projects – from private homes to offices, hotels, and hospitality spaces. We are also the exclusive UK supplier of VIPP kitchens and shelters. Our work is grounded in quality, attention to detail, and a belief that well-designed spaces materially improve how people live and work. We take real pride in the spaces we help shape – and in the relationships we build with clients along the way.

The role: You will join the Edinburgh showroom and represent the brand day-to-day, supporting client interactions and helping maintain momentum across sales and project activity. You'll be part of a small, close-knit team where everyone contributes and supports each other. This is a hands-on, varied role sitting between client experience, design support, and sales coordination. No two days look exactly the same. You will often be the first point of contact – so presence, good judgement, and attention to detail are important. You'll play a key part in creating a positive, considered experience for every client who walks through the door.

Progression: This role is designed as a strong entry point into project-based sales and design-led client work. You will gain exposure to residential and commercial projects, client conversations, and how sales convert from enquiry through to delivery. For the right person, there is a clear path to take on more responsibility across client accounts, project ownership, and sales over time.

Key responsibilities:

  • Showroom and client experience: welcome and engage clients visiting the showroom in a warm, confident way; understand requirements and guide them through products and materials; present furniture, lighting, and design options with confidence; maintain a high standard of showroom presentation at all times.
  • Sales and project support: support the team across residential and commercial projects; assist with preparing client presentations (InDesign/PowerPoint); help support and respond to enquiries, maintaining momentum from initial contact through to sale.
  • Design and marketing support: contribute to simple layouts and presentation materials; update website content and product listings; support social media activity and content posting; assist with keeping product and supplier information up to date and well presented.

What we're looking for:

  • Some background in interiors, design, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills – comfortable dealing with clients in a professional setting.
  • A natural eye for design, materials, and detail.
  • Confident using tools like PowerPoint, InDesign (or similar).
  • Organised and proactive – able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a small, collaborative team.
  • Motivated and enthusiastic, with a positive approach and willingness to learn.
  • Experience in furniture, interiors, or a showroom/retail environment is helpful but not essential.

This role would suit someone who:

  • wants to build a career in interiors, design, or project-based sales;
  • enjoys working directly with clients but also behind the scenes on delivery;
  • is equally comfortable being hands-on in a showroom and working on presentations;
  • takes pride in doing things well, even in the small details.

Additional details:

  • Based in Edinburgh (showroom role – on site).
  • Full-time preferred, but part-time considered for the right candidate.
