The Studio Global brand and strategy agency are looking for a design director to strengthen their team! You will join the London creative hub - a talented group with an incredible energy and passion for what they do. They are well established and have crafted out an excellent reputation, known for really challenging the space in which they operate. This studio works a hybrid week with three days in the office and two from home.

This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of something special. Working across branding projects you’ll take the creative lead with full creative license working from naming stages through to roll out. You’ll collaborate closely with the CD to consistently raise the level of creative output and drive pitch wins for the team. The role demands someone who is passionate and charismatic. Mentoring the design team will be a crucial element of your role and so we are looking for someone who will be able to inspire and motivate colleagues. As well as this you will be confident client facing.

This could be a great fit for a senior designer ready to step up or an established DD looking to make a change. First and foremost you will be a highly conceptual designer who loves working closely with clients from beginning brief stages and working in detail to get under the skin of a brand. You’ll be bright and inquisitive with impeccable communication skills. Confident in debating and discussing ideas; in fact, you will relish this and be a leader in pitching and presenting your creative concepts.

We are looking for a senior with at least seven years commercial experience within brand and design.

  • Experience taking a design lead on pitches and live projects.
  • At least seven+ years commercial experience working for a brand focused studio.
  • Experience managing/mentoring small design teams and working collaboratively with account and studio teams.
  • Strong typographic/layout skills and a highly creative approach to both print and online briefs.
  • A passion for design, brands, consumer trends and creative movements.
  • The ability to write top-line copy.
  • Strong typographic and layout design competence.
  • A high degree of creative and conceptual skills.
  • Experience working in hospitality/lifestyle/property branding desirable.
  • Commercial and strategic thinking to achieve objectives.
