Blake Architects is recruiting a Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in Cirencester, UK. We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join our team in a beautiful rural setting near Stroud and Cheltenham. Many of the projects we work on are conservation-led and will involve listed buildings or adaptive reuse of barns in sensitive rural settings.
The successful candidate will be working with our team across all work stages on projects of various scales, from residential schemes for private clients to workplace and education schemes.
About you
You will be a motivated and creative individual with excellent design, drawing (hand and computer) and 3D software skills that shares our interest in rural architecture, sustainable design and high-quality detail. You will be excited to work as part of the whole team and meaningfully contribute to the design development of projects whilst getting valuable hands-on experience across all aspects of the projects, from client meetings to site visits.
Required skills/experience:
- CAD drawing skills, preferably Vectorworks
- 3D modelling skills to create exceptional images
- InDesign and Photoshop
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work both independently and in a small team
Candidates must be able to prove their right to work in the UK and have fluent written and spoken English.
