Prior + Partners has an opportunity for an associate landscape architect to join its London team. We are seeking an experienced associate landscape architect to join our London studio, working across a diverse portfolio of masterplanning and placemaking projects in the UK and internationally.
Founded in 2018, Prior + Partners is a multidisciplinary practice bringing together masterplanning, planning and economics to unlock the potential of places and communities around the world. We are recognised as industry‑leading experts with a design‑led approach to creating people‑centred and viable places, with a project culture based on collaboration and rigorous review. Since our founding in 2017, we have grown to over 100 team members, including urban designers, landscape architects, planners, economists and data scientists, all with deep experience in shaping and visualising new urban and rural environments.
Our portfolio includes major regeneration and new community projects across the UK and globally. We have led the masterplan for a 130,000 sqkm natural reserve in Saudi Arabia, supporting its ambition to become the world’s largest desert conservation project, alongside major urban growth initiatives such as the transformation of a significant industrial site in Abu Dhabi. Across all of this portfolio, landscape is central to our approach – it shapes how places function and evolve and is embedded within the built environment to support resilience, environmental performance and everyday life.
We are looking for an associate landscape architect to take a leading role within our growing landscape team. You will contribute to the design and delivery of multidisciplinary masterplanning projects, both in the UK and internationally.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading landscape workstreams across major projects, from early visioning through to framework development, optioneering, placemaking strategies and landscape design.
- Integrating landscape proposals within wider masterplanning and planning processes across UK and international contexts, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and deliverable outcomes.
- Building strong relationships with clients, collaborators and specialist consultants.
- Managing coordination across multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Supporting project planning, resourcing and delivery across multiple stages.
- Mentoring junior team members and contributing to a positive studio culture.
- Contributing to bids and broader work‑winning activities.
About you:
- Degree in landscape architecture, urban design or a related discipline.
- Around eight years’ experience working on multidisciplinary landscape and masterplanning projects.
- Strong design capability with clear graphic and verbal communication skills.
- Experience leading workstreams and supporting junior team members.
- Confident working in collaborative, fast‑paced environments.
- Strong client‑facing and presentation skills.
- Understanding of project delivery, programme and commercial considerations.
- Experience contributing to bids and business development.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and key design platforms, including Rhino, AutoCAD and ArcGIS.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience, or a strong interest, in delivering international projects, including in the Middle East. If this sounds like you, please submit your CV and portfolio via the ‘apply for job’ button below. Salary will depend on experience, and we will offer the opportunity to further your career as well as knowledge of other disciplines within the practice.
