Location: head office, Lyndhurst, Hampshire with travel across UK and hotel sites.
Hours and working pattern: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 DOE
Join the team behind some of the UK’s most characterful hotel interiors.
At THE PIG, our spaces are more than just beautiful – they tell a story. Layered, collected, and effortlessly comfortable, each property reflects its surroundings, heritage, and personality. We’re now looking for a Mid-Weight Interior Designer to help shape and evolve that story across our growing portfolio.
What you’ll be doing
Working closely with our lead interior architect and lead interior designer, you’ll play a key role in bringing our interiors to life – from concept through to installation:
develop interior concepts, FF&E schemes and material palettes across new openings and refurbishments
source furniture, lighting, fabrics, artwork and accessories that align with THE PIG aesthetic
hunt down antique, vintage and bespoke pieces to create truly individual spaces
produce mood boards, presentations, layouts and detailed FF&E schedules
coordinate finishes, fabrics and detailing to maintain a consistent brand feel
support project delivery by liaising with suppliers, contractors and site teams
attend site visits, installations and design reviews
build strong relationships with suppliers, makers and craftspeople
support budget management without compromising on design integrity
collaborate closely with design, procurement and operational teams
What we’re looking for
You’ll be a creative, hands‑on designer who thrives on detail and storytelling through interiors:
three to six years’ experience in interior design (hospitality or high‑end residential preferred)
strong knowledge of FF&E sourcing, specification and procurement
confident creating presentations, schedules and technical documentation
solid understanding of materials, finishes, furniture and fabrics
proficient in InDesign, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (SketchUp beneficial)
highly organised, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
strong communication and presentation skills
experience working alongside architects, contractors and consultants
About you:
passionate about interiors, antiques and craftsmanship
a natural eye for layered, characterful design
curious, resourceful and proactive
collaborative, adaptable and detail‑focused
practical and hands‑on – comfortable on site, in studios and sourcing environments
excited by evolving an established brand rather than imposing your own style
Why join THE PIG?
You’ll be part of a creative, close‑knit team shaping some of the most distinctive hotel environments in the UK – where no two projects are ever the same.
We are dedicated to making THE PIGs an inspiring, exciting, and fun place to work and in return for your hard work you can expect something a little different:
work with a reputable people led business where PIG values sit at the forefront of what we do
unlimited staff stays – free B&B across all our properties
