Critical Mass has a new and exciting opportunity based in their London office! We're looking for a talented Producer to join a fast‑paced team working for a global hospitality platform. This is a contract position through to the end of March, with strong potential to transition to permanent. The role would ideally suit someone who has had exposure to Business Affairs.
What You'll Do:
- Review creative work to evaluate third party rights and licensing needs including images from Airbnb platform, stock images, locations, landmarks, etc.
- Conduct outreach, negotiations, contracting and payment when licensing third party rights.
- Conduct in‑depth internal, public records and due diligence research and conduct necessary research of internal systems and public records to assess existing rights.
- Work with cross‑functional partners: Production, Legal, Policy, and Finance.
- Work with internal legal counsel on litigation, copyright/trademark, and rights/clearance matters.
- Follow up on logistics as needed within teams, particularly on time‑sensitive deadlines.
- Interface with multiple internal functions and systems to keep up to date on guidelines and activities impacting marketing and communications.
What We're Looking For:
- Excellent people skills with the ability to communicate effectively with community members and colleagues through all means of communication (in writing, via Slack, Zoom, in person, etc.).
- Experience negotiating license and third party rights releases.
- Ability to review assets and identify potential third party rights.
- Ability to interpret contracts for rights‑related matters like use term, territory, media, etc. and rights exclusions.
- Ability to quickly learn about marketing and communications strategies and related policy, legal and business affairs issues.
- Have a creative approach to problem solving, and a passion for trying, learning, improving, and sharing best practices.
