Criterion Hospitality is seeking a highly experienced and commercially focused Group Head of Health, Safety & Security to lead and drive best-in-class standards across our growing hotel portfolio. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring full compliance, protecting our guests and teams, and embedding a strong safety and security culture across all properties.
The Role
- Lead the Group Health, Safety & Security strategy across all hotels
- Ensure full compliance with UK H&S legislation, fire safety regulations, and security standards
- Act as the senior point of contact for all H&S and security matters across the business
- Oversee audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and compliance reporting
- Drive continuous improvement in safety performance and operational standards
- Lead crisis management, emergency response planning, and business continuity
- Manage and develop H&S and security teams across multiple sites
- Work closely with Operations, Engineering, and Asset Management teams
- Manage external consultants, contractors, and regulatory relationships
About You
- Proven experience in a senior H&S leadership role within hospitality or multi-site environments
- Strong knowledge of UK health & safety, fire safety, and compliance frameworks
- Experience overseeing security operations in complex, high-footfall environments
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) – essential
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Commercially aware, with the ability to balance safety and operational performance
- Experience managing large-scale or flagship assets is highly desirable
