The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on General Manager to lead the ongoing operations and development of this flagship property. You will be responsible for driving performance, enhancing the guest journey, and ensuring operational excellence as we scale up and optimise the full potential of the hostel.
This is a rare opportunity to take charge of one of the UK’s largest hostels, delivering high-volume operations while shaping a unique accommodation and F&B offering in the heart of central London.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership : Lead, inspire, and support a large operational team. Oversee recruitment, development, and performance management to maintain a positive culture and high service standards.
- Operational Management : Oversee all day-to-day operations across front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B. Ensure a seamless, efficient, and guest-focused environment.
- Food & Beverage Oversight : Lead and grow the F&B operation, including café, bar, or self-service offerings. Focus on quality, profitability, and compliance with food safety and licensing regulations.
- Guest Experience : Maintain consistently high levels of guest satisfaction. Respond to feedback and lead initiatives to enhance the overall stay.
- Commercial Focus : Manage budgets, control costs, and drive revenue across all departments, including F&B. Monitor KPIs and implement performance improvements.
- Health & Safety Compliance : Ensure full compliance with all legal and safety requirements, including food hygiene, fire safety, and building regulations.
- Business Growth : Collaborate with senior management on commercial strategy, local partnerships, and initiatives to build brand presence and community engagement.
