We’re looking for a passionate and creative Communications & Engagement Executive to join our growing team. If you\’re a strong storyteller with a flair for media engagement, content creation, and brand communications, we’d love to hear from you. The Role As Communications & Engagement Executive, you will play a key role in enhancing the public image of Criterion Hospitality and its portfolio of hotels. You\’ll be responsible for crafting compelling communications, engaging with media and influencers, and supporting strategic campaigns that increase awareness and strengthen our brand reputation. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement communication and PR strategies that align with brand goals and support business objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, media outlets, and influencers across hospitality, lifestyle, and travel sectors. Create engaging press releases, media kits, newsletters, and editorial content. Handle media enquiries and proactively secure coverage across print, online, and broadcast channels. Monitor media coverage, compile press clippings, and provide regular performance insights. Support internal and external communications, ensuring brand consistency in messaging and tone. Assist with planning and delivering PR events, press trips, property launches, and partnership activations. Collaborate with marketing and digital teams on content strategy, brand storytelling, and campaign support. About You We’re seeking a creative and driven professional who’s confident in developing brand narratives and managing media relations. You should be a natural communicator, highly organised, and enthusiastic about hospitality and lifestyle brands. Essential Skills and Experience Proven experience in public relations or communications, preferably within hospitality, lifestyle, or travel. Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong grasp of tone, grammar, and style. Existing media and influencer contacts in relevant sectors. Confidence in handling press relations and securing quality coverage. Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines. Familiarity with digital PR and social media platforms. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and consistency. A degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
