Criterion Hospitality is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Health & Safety Manager to support the delivery of best-in-class safety standards across our hotel portfolio. This is a key operational role, working closely with the Group Head of Health, Safety & Security to ensure compliance, manage risk, and promote a strong safety culture across all properties.
The Role
- Support the implementation of the Group Health & Safety strategy across all sites
- Ensure compliance with UK H&S legislation and fire safety regulations
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments across the portfolio
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and compliance documentation
- Deliver H&S training and promote awareness across teams
- Work closely with Engineering, Operations, and site teams to ensure safe practices
- Support emergency planning and business continuity processes
- Liaise with external contractors and regulatory bodies
About You
- Experience in a Health & Safety role within hospitality, FM, or multi-site environments
- Strong understanding of UK health & safety legislation and compliance
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) – essential
- NEBOSH Diploma (or working towards) – desirable
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Hands-on approach with attention to detail
- Ability to build relationships and influence across teams
