Criterion Hospitality is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Health & Safety Manager to support the delivery of best-in-class safety standards across our hotel portfolio. This is a key operational role, working closely with the Group Head of Health, Safety & Security to ensure compliance, manage risk, and promote a strong safety culture across all properties.

The Role

  • Support the implementation of the Group Health & Safety strategy across all sites
  • Ensure compliance with UK H&S legislation and fire safety regulations
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments across the portfolio
  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and compliance documentation
  • Deliver H&S training and promote awareness across teams
  • Work closely with Engineering, Operations, and site teams to ensure safe practices
  • Support emergency planning and business continuity processes
  • Liaise with external contractors and regulatory bodies

About You

  • Experience in a Health & Safety role within hospitality, FM, or multi-site environments
  • Strong understanding of UK health & safety legislation and compliance
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) – essential
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or working towards) – desirable
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Hands-on approach with attention to detail
  • Ability to build relationships and influence across teams
