What You\’ll Do
- Collaborate with art leads, level designers, VFX, and lighting teams to create engaging, visually stunning game worlds.
- Partner closely with level designers to craft authentic, beautifully composed, and playable spaces from initial layout through to final, shippable quality.
- Utilize advanced terrain systems to produce world-class landscapes, integrating real-world data, setting up materials and procedurals, sculpting, and painting.
- Plan and participate in location reference and photogrammetry trips, creating exceptional natural and hard-surface game models and materials.
- Work with art leads to ensure levels align with the creative vision set by Creative, Art, and Design Directors.
- Drive quality by setting benchmarks, providing dressing examples, and pushing for consistency across environments.
- Collaborate with content artists and level leads to develop asset lists, gather references, and prepare asset briefs for outsourcing.
- Strive for excellence in art and design, proactively seeking ways to enhance the player experience.
- Continuously look for opportunities to improve workflows and tools, enabling the team to work more efficiently and create high-quality game environments.
- Mentor and support less experienced artists, offering guidance and constructive feedback.
- Work closely with the technical art team to deliver solid, performant worlds.
Who You Are
- A creative environment artist with strong composition, scene layout, and storytelling skills, who understands the unique relationship between art and design.
- Possess 5+ years of professional experience as an Environment Artist, with a focus on level creation for AAA games.
- Experienced in asset creation and world-building workflows, including photogrammetry and large-scale environment development.
- A proactive problem solver who seeks out solutions independently or through effective communication and collaboration.
- Motivated, flexible, and approachable, championing quality across the team.
- A clear, proactive communicator who enjoys cross-team collaboration and values shared success.
- Passionate about teamwork, continuous learning, and elevating the work of those around you.
- An enthusiastic gamer.
