The Role (Fully Office Based)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to lead and optimise procurement across our construction projects. The role entails extracting maximum value and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Procurement Management

  • Develop, implement and continuously refine procurement strategies and programmes to support construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Ensure procurement aligns with business objectives, budget constraints, and project timelines.

Supplier & Contractor Management

  • Identify, source, and onboard high-quality suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring reliability and best value and enring disputes or performance issues are proactively resolved.

Cost & Budget Control

  • Firmly negotiate contracts to secure best possible terms, pricing, and service levels.
  • Conduct market analysis to benchmark pricing and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on procurement spending.

Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination

  • Manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and services, ensuring timely delivery to construction sites.
  • Mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, delays, and cost fluctuations.
  • Oversee inventory management and stock control to minimise waste and optimise resources.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with industry regulations, health & safety standards, and company policies.
  • Assess and manage contractual risks, ensuring legal and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Keep up to date with changes in construction procurement legislation and best practices.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with project managers, design teams, and site teams to ensure procurement decisions align with project needs.
  • Support senior leadership in strategic decision-making by providing data-driven insights.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in procurement practices.

About You

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in procurement in hotel and/or residential construction.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Commercially astute with an ability to drive cost savings and efficiencies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Hungry and ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to challenges.
