A Junior Facilities Manager supports senior management in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant day-to-day operation of commercial properties.

The role involves overseeing daily maintenance, coordinating contractors and suppliers, supporting health and safety procedures, and helping to maintain a high level of tenant satisfaction.

Coordinate routine checks of key building services, including HVAC, fire alarms, power, and water systems.

Carry out regular property inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues early.

Safety, Risk & Compliance

Ensure statutory compliance and support adherence to UK health and safety regulations across assigned sites.

Assist with fire risk assessments, emergency response plans, and evacuation drills.

Review contractor risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), and issue work permits where required.

Vendor & Contract Management

Monitor contractor and supplier performance to ensure good service delivery and cost efficiency.

Act as a key point of contact for tenant queries and provide a high standard of customer service.

Communicate effectively with property managers, front-of-house teams, contractors, and external stakeholders such as local councils and fire services.

Typically 1–3 years’ experience in facilities, property administration, or building operations.

Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems, as well as general building operations.

Salary
