Criterion Capital is seeking an experienced Document Controller to support our Construction MEP division by managing and maintaining robust internal document control systems across our projects.
This role is responsible for ensuring that all project documentation and drawings are accurately controlled, up to date, and distributed in line with the Project Management Plan (PMP). You will act as Criterion Capital’s central point of contact for all document and drawing control matters, supporting both office and site-based teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and maintaining the central document management system, ensuring all records are accurate, current, and correctly filed
- Controlling document and drawing distribution in accordance with project procedures and the PMP
- Reviewing and implementing document management protocols across projects
- Archiving historical and superseded documentation in line with company standards
- Producing and circulating weekly reports on document activity and status
- Completing, maintaining, and monitoring project records and registers
- Ensuring proper tracking and retention of all issued and received documentation
- Visiting site to support project teams with the effective use of document control systems
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience in a Document Controller role within the construction industry
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Procore
- Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Clear and professional communication skills when liaising with Clients, Consultants, internal teams, and the supply chain
- Confidence in leading meetings to review and manage project information
- The ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
- A proactive, flexible approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- The capability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
