Piccadilly Construction, our in-house Construction Management Team, is seeking a Façade Restorer to assist in the restoration of facades on buildings across London. The Facade Restorer is responsible for repairing, cleaning, and restoring building exteriors to preserve historical integrity and structural integrity. This includes work on stone, brick, concrete, stucco, and other architectural surfaces. The role involves both cosmetic and structural work, often on heritage or listed buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and assess damage or wear on building facades.
- Clean facades using appropriate techniques (e.g., sandblasting, pressure washing, chemical cleaning).
- Repair or replace damaged masonry, stonework, brickwork, stucco, and other materials.
- Apply protective coatings or sealants to prevent future deterioration.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and restoration equipment safely and effectively.
- Mix and apply mortar, grouts, and other materials to match original finishes.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Comply with safety regulations and site-specific procedures.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and conservation officers when working on heritage buildings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in masonry, stonework, or facade restoration.
- Knowledge of traditional and modern restoration methods.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and PPE use.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
- Comfortable working at heights and using scaffolding or lifts.
