Job Description
Criterion Capital are seeking a dynamic Junior Commercial Analyst/QS to join our in-house commercial team to work on both client and contractor type tasks. we would like to offer the opportunity for the right candidate to be moulded into a hybrid role within the company; One that captures quantitative duties commercially, and if they perform, then exposure to the future of opportunities of the commercial analyst responsibilities.
Skills and responsibilities:
- Procurement and Appointment of Suitable Specialists: to include the assessment of suitability and financial health of companies of which we will be investing large risk profiles into.
- Cost Planning: the use of differing methodologies to derive an understanding of either, approximate or precise costs to facilitate development schemes.
- A quantitative understanding of Project Risk
- Cost Control and Financial Risk Mitigation Techniques
- Contract Administration and Compilation of Contract Documentation: to include selection of the suitable form of contract
- Management of Work Packages and Variation Accounts
- Management of functional cashflow responsibilities
- Statistical Cashflow Projections
- Statistical and quantitative modelling skillset
- An understanding of Delay, Prolongation and Extension of Time Claims
- Relative Productivity of Labor Force
- Financial Reporting Skillset
About you:
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant construction related field.
- 1 year of experience with client sided quantity surveying/cost consultancy
- High numerical aptitude
- Analytical and numerical reasoning
- Adherence to scientific and quantitative procedures
- Driven, value oriented and principled structure
- Open minded
- Commitment to the cause of personal development which will positively benefit the organization
