Design management role within the security framework to develop and support the delivery teams by providing management of the design function, to include:

  • Project manage the SEMD design function.
  • Management of the SEMD design and change management function including day to day management of the SEMD design team (LDEs, CAD, Support Consultants and Tech Administration).
  • Design planning including liaison with LDEs and programme P6 planners.
  • Co-ordinate LDEs with design requirements and dependencies.
  • Co-ordination of design documentation.
  • Delivery tracker co-ordination and management.
  • Monitoring and management reporting of design milestones and KPIs to Thames and Critec senior management.
  • Advise on SEMD programme standards compliance requirements.
  • Develop and approve security related design processes.
  • Develop and approve security related design documentation.
  • Manage SEMD design review requirements with the project delivery teams and contractors.
  • Chair weekly Design Meeting and produce contractual minutes.
  • Documentation final approval for EWNs, TQs, Design Waivers, Contractor design submissions, Contractor SAMMS, Documentation produced by the SEMD design Team.
  • Escalation point contact for SEMD design activities with the client, stakeholders and contractors.
  • Provide security guidance to the construction delivery teams with respect to design standards.
  • To be proficient with documentation creation and completion in line with TW standards, be self-driven to ensure the ‘Design to Commissioning’ philosophy is promoted and delivered.
  • To have a clear vision of project design and handover requirements, to self-manage the completion of the associated deliverables.
  • To provide technical assistance to project site team.
