We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Transportation Coordinator to join our team at Crisp Malt, Portgordon. In this role, you will be responsible for co-ordinating the site logistics and ensuring good service level for our customers.
Duties include

Liaising and booking with customers and suppliers, their agents and third party haulage on delivery requirements.

Addressing and resolving any issues related to delayed shipments or damaged goods.

Following established company processes and systems.

Ensuring all relevant shipping documentation is present and correct and accompanies the deliveries.

Accountable for daily logistics operations to ensure complete shipping and transportation of all orders to customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Obtaining competitive quotes for freight costs and actioning accordingly.

Building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, transport companies and other logistics partners, ensuring optimal performance.

Reviewing Freight Forwarder invoices.

Accountable for monitoring and managing the performance of logistics suppliers.

Ensuring correct and full completion of relevant documents and the maintenance of records on all dispatches.

Confirming and assigning commodity codes to products (with assistance from Sales/Operations).

Raising of purchase orders, including checking and approving for related activities.

Active involvement and identification of continuous improvement with the company’s logistics processes and systems.

Assisting in managing logistics budgets, tracking costs, and working on cost-saving initiatives.

Collaborating with internal departments such as sales and operations.

To cover the phone dealing with telephone calls and where necessary re-directing them.

Support in covering the reception area, booking in any visitors to the site.

Complying to transportation regulations and company policies and procedures.

Support and comply with any reasonably requests within capability.
