Who We Are Looking For

Crisis24’s Crisis & Security Consulting (CSC) division is looking for a Senior Managing Consultant to join the Central & Eastern Europe team. As a part of our dynamic and agile team, the successful applicant will have the chance to enhance their skill set and knowledge, enabling them to contribute across various teams within the organization. Candidates should possess comprehensive experience in security risk management and crisis management at both tactical and strategic levels and have a wide-ranging understanding of different industries.

Crisis24 has been operating in and around Ukraine since January 2022, supporting clients’ personnel and operations throughout the war. GardaWorld also has significant operations in-country, run out of an operating base in Kyiv. As a result of the ongoing situation and increased demand for our services, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join Crisis24’s Crisis & Security Consulting (CSC) team. We are looking for a number of highly organised and experienced security risk management practitioners to rotate between Ukraine and home (likely UK but flexible) to:

  1. Support the operational delivery of our client services in Ukraine, as well as the growth of our team and practice in Central and Eastern Europe.
  2. Support the wider UK/Europe risk and crisis management consulting team where required.

What You Will Work On

Operational support to clients in Central and Eastern Europe:

  1. Delivery and management of SRM, CM and BCM consulting services (such as risk assessments, policy/plan development, incident and crisis management planning and other projects).
  2. Produce all relevant documentation in support of assigned pre-incident consulting services delivery; responsible for the quality and standards of such documentation in line with CSC’s best practice doctrine and methodology.
  3. Support the delivery of client services in Central and Eastern Europe, including (but not limited to):
  1. Client liaison and management.
  2. Management of third-party vendors and ground services.
  3. Administration of the Crisis24 Safe Havens (ensuring supplies and equipment in place), and responding to client employee requests for safe house use and other ad hoc support.
  4. Delivery of training and briefings both in-person and virtually.
  5. Conduct local area research and delivery of analysis on observations.
  • Project management of live security risk and crisis management consulting projects and coordination of deployments including administration of other staff and/or third-party consultants on projects.
  • Business Development

    1. Support the generation of new security and crisis management consultancy opportunities both in Ukraine and in UK & Europe region, in support of CSC’s new business targets.
    2. Identify opportunities to promote and enhance CSC’s security and crisis management consulting initiatives.
    3. Scope, price, manage and/or oversee the development of RFPs and client proposals.
    4. Represent CSC, Crisis24 and GardaWorld in client pitches, presentations and meetings.
    5. Identify opportunities to introduce the wider GardaWorld services into clients.

    Who You Will Work With

    Internally: Crisis24: Immediate CSC team, Operations Support Team (OST), and management, wider Crisis24 team, GardaWorld team/s in Europe and globally, corporate functions.

    Externally: Clients, information sources and third-party providers & subcontractors.

    What You Will Bring

    1. Minimum 10+ years’ relevant previous experience in a security, intelligence, risk or crisis management environment, working in an operational and/or consulting role.
    2. Strong working knowledge of Security Risk and Crisis Management / Business Continuity Management – Best Practice and Industry Standards.
    3. Demonstrable commercial experience developing new business opportunities.
    4. Extensive travel experience globally including in high threat / hostile environments.
    5. Prior experience in region an advantage.
    6. Competent skills with office-based software; MSOffice.
    7. Ideally at least one relevant security risk management qualification (CSMP, CPP, PSP or other).
    8. Relevant European languages an advantage.
