About the role

As Project Coordinator – Centres, you will be responsible for working with our partners in hotels and schools across London, as it is their buildings we turn into temporary homelessness shelters over Christmas. We refer to these buildings as our Christmas centres, and those we support as our guests.

The Crisis at Christmas project has been running for more than 50 years and is our most impactful project which sees people moving on beyond homelessness. Your role in the project will be to collaborate with staff from our chosen buildings and our senior volunteers dedicated to running the centres safely over the Christmas period.

Working alongside a diverse range of volunteers, you’ll support equitable approaches to our offer for those who join us at Christmas, both our guests and volunteers, and how we turn buildings into our Christmas centres.

Our office is based in the Canning Town Warehouse, which has office space for the wider Christmas team, our colleagues in the Retail and Ecommerce teams, as well as our storage. We are a friendly and sociable team and look forward to welcoming new members to the team.

About you

  • Previous experience of partnership working
  • Experience of working with a wide range of audiences, and ideally with volunteers
  • Good attention to detail and ability to process data accurately
  • Strong problem-solving skills, willing and able to tackle difficult problems under pressure
