We are seeking an experienced Backend Java Developer to join our team, responsible for building and enhancing scalable, high-performance applications within a financial services environment. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with domain knowledge in Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR), collateral management, or margining systems.
Key responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Java and related technologies.
- Contribute to the development of systems supporting Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR), collateral, and margin calculation workflows.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, quants, and risk teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Enhance performance and reliability of existing risk and margin platforms.
- Ensure high-quality code through unit testing, code reviews, and best engineering practices.
- Participate in system design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Strong hands-on experience in Core Java / Backend Development.
- Proven experience working on financial systems, preferably within investment banking or capital markets.
- Solid understanding of at least one of the following domains: Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR), Collateral management systems, Margining (initial margin / variation margin).
- Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and REST APIs.
- Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Exposure to derivatives, risk engines, or pricing systems.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks related to risk and margin (e.g., Basel, SIMM, etc.).
- Experience working in Agile environments.
