This is a fantastic opportunity to help build and grow our Global Markets research offering. This role will primarily focus on Fixed Income products, where you will generate competitive insights and benchmarking and present your findings to industry leaders. The role offers the opportunity for high profile interaction with senior stakeholders across Global Markets sales, trading, and strategy teams.

As a Research Manager focused on Global Markets, you will be working within the CIB Competitor Analytics division. Your role is to provide strategic, data-supported competitive insights to the executive teams of global banks and buy-side firms across three areas:
- Industry landscape: Product trends, key drivers and topical themes
- Industry benchmarking: Revenue, headcount and productivity analysis across leading players
- Competitor analysis: Strategic insight into individual competitors, including historical strengths and focus areas for growth
You will have the ability to:
- Step quickly into a client-facing role, leveraging strong presentation skills and prior knowledge of Global Markets products and competitors
- Analyze data, interpret your findings, and prepare commentary on industry trends
- Understand the competitive landscape in granular detail and present key performance drivers to clients with impact
- Own quantitative data and product-specific insights, with day-to-day support from our dedicated analytics team
- Build your network of knowledgeable individuals to gather market insights
Your Expertise:
- 3+ years of experience in financial services or consulting, with sales and trading experience (or exposure) strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Markets products, likely to have been gained from working at a bank, the financial services practice of a consulting firm, or a specialist competitive intelligence firm
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present analysis to senior client stakeholders in an engaging manner
- Analytical and flexible mindset, with comfort working with large datasets to derive compelling insights to support client business strategy
- Robust project management skills, demonstrated by track record of successfully delivering multiple concurrent projects and coordinating work across several teams or stakeholders
- Strong degree of independence, drive, and self-motivation
- Exemplary interpersonal skills and the ability to easily build rapport with senior clients
- Genuine interest in and passion for Global Markets, along with a desire to further develop your knowledge and understanding of the sector
- Commercial drive to expand and promote our services
