About The Role
Coalition Greenwich is currently seeking a Senior Consultant/ Research Manager, Large Corporate Banking, ideally with a focus on Transaction Banking, to join its growing organization. The position is aligned with the London, UK office. Demonstrated competence is required in conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses, identifying issues, forming hypotheses, formulating recommendations/solutions, preparing business proposals and client presentations, as well as developing and deepening client relationships. Competence in designing, conducting, and analyzing detailed large corporate transaction banking research is preferred. Candidates must also have strong consultative skills grounded in high integrity and professional standards.
Consultants are responsible for analyzing markets and guiding clients in understanding the size of the market opportunity, how their customers view them in the market, and what they must do to secure that opportunity. Consultants engage with institutional financial services providers, evaluating competitive opportunities and key strategic, product, organizational, operational, and technology challenges for each client, based on its specific competencies and long-term objectives. Consultants work closely with our heads of business in creating and preparing consulting reports and presentations for the client’s C-suite, its senior product and global as well as regional management, strategy, and market research professionals.
In reports and meetings, consultants create value through their understanding of the client’s needs and ability to convey the changing landscape of the marketplace through the eyes of the client’s customers. They generate revenue through cultivating existing relationships and developing new relationships as well as developing new research products. In addition, Consultants manage day-to-day client related activities working with internal teams to deliver our research and consulting offerings with the utmost quality in the most effective ways.
In this position, the expectation of a Senior Consultant/ Research Manager will be to master the firm’s proprietary research methodology and offer advice to clients. They will be responsible for revenue generation, research management and development, talent management and overall strategic / business planning.
You will have the ability to:
- Join the responsibility for building Coalition Greenwich’s Corporate Banking Sector, primarily within the spaces of Large Corporate Banking, ideally with a particular focus on Transaction Banking.
- Draw on and build on Coalition Greenwich’s market research, to produce actionable insights and advice for global, regional, and local banks operating in the Large Corporate and Investment banking space across Europe as well as globally.
- Develop new advisory consulting modules and capabilities as relevant.
- Partner with other Consultants and Relationship Managers globally who manage core account relationships to broaden the client dialogue and cross-sell advisory services, including writing proposals and pitching.
- Partner with the team to drive forward the Corporate Banking sector’s thought leadership initiatives, including whitepapers and marketing collateral with a particular emphasis on Transaction Banking.
- Participate in conferences and PR activities to raise recognition of our data based advisory consulting services.
- Partner with other consultants in the design, project management, analysis and consulting associated with advisory consulting projects.
- Support the Corporate Banking Sector in the design and development of its products and services, to ensure continuous evolution and alignment with client needs, in particular in the areas of Transaction Banking.
YOUR EXPERTISE
- Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA or equivalent a plus.
- A minimum of five years of management consulting experience from a Top Tier strategy consultancy or similar experience acquired in a strategy function of a leading corporate/investment bank.
- Track record of success in developing client relationships through consistently high-quality delivery and execution.
- Proven ability to conceive new business ideas and implement them successfully in a financially profitable way.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a (global) relationship team.
- Significant experience working in Corporate and Investment Banking or Wholesale Banking is desirable.
- Deep understanding of the evolving regulatory environment of Transaction Banking in the Large Corporate space and associated banking solutions a strong plus.
- Ability for occasional travel depending on business needs.
- Language requirements: English native or bilingual proficiency required; German, French and/or Spanish native or bilingual proficiency a strong plus.
