Crises Control is a UK-based SaaS company specialising in crisis management, business continuity, and emergency communication software. We are looking for a Marketing Assistant to work directly with our Marketing Manager and support the execution of our content, SEO, and social media strategy. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role suited to someone who enjoys creating content, working across multiple platforms, and using modern tools (including AI) to produce high-quality marketing output.

Responsibilities

  • Content & Blog Management
    • Write, edit, and publish SEO-optimised blogs using WordPress
    • Apply on-page SEO best practices (keywords, metadata, internal linking, structure)
    • Repurpose blogs into social media content (graphics, carousels, short videos)
  • Social Media Management
    • Create and manage content across LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, YouTube
    • Follow content calendars and posting schedules
    • Write platform-specific captions
    • Publish daily blog shares (Monday–Friday)
    • Monitor engagement (comments, mentions, DMs)
  • Design & Video Content
    • Design visual content using Canva and AI-based tools
    • Create carousels, posters, infographics, and short-form videos (Reels, Shorts, TikTok-style)
    • Ensure all content aligns with Crises Control branding
  • Analytics & Optimisation
    • Track performance across platforms (engagement, reach, clicks)
    • Identify what content performs best
    • Suggest improvements based on data

Skills Required

  • Experience in content marketing and social media
  • Strong understanding of SEO, particularly for blogs
  • Hands-on experience with WordPress
  • Experience managing multiple social media platforms
  • Strong writing skills (clear, professional, B2B-friendly)
  • Ability to create short-form video content
  • Experience using Canva and AI tools
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote role

  • Experience supporting or coordinating webinars
