This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, detail-focused and keen to develop their technical knowledge within a busy Real Estate environment. You’ll work closely with other members of the Real Estate teams and have the opportunity to develop your knowledge of areas including SDLT, Land Registry applications and post-completion processes. You’ll be joining a collaborative team where there is plenty of scope to build your skills and take on increasing responsibility as your knowledge develops.
What you'll be doing
- Developing your knowledge of SDLT procedures and, following training, completing electronic SDLT Returns to HMRC.
- Preparing SDLT payment forms and arranging finance forms for partner approval.
- Training in Land Registry applications, including E-DSR, and progressing to submitting straightforward applications.
- Managing key dates and maintaining spreadsheets to track file progress.
- Supporting Residential and RID files.
- Preparing and sending post-completion financial statements to clients and, over time, dealing with residual balances.
- Preparing and serving notices to landlords where required.
- Submitting NHBC acceptance forms online.
- Keeping clients and mortgage lenders informed when registration has been completed and providing documentation in line with their requirements.
- Responding to post-completion client enquiries.
- Checking accounts and files prior to closure, closing files and updating the CMS.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring post-completion matters are progressed efficiently.
- Working closely with the Real Estate teams and understanding the different post-completion requirements across the department.
About you
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- A strong communicator with good interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and working to tight deadlines.
- Flexible, energetic and able to remain calm and effective during busy periods.
- A collaborative team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and learning from others.
- Committed to providing excellent client service.
- Commercially aware and able to work effectively in a target-driven environment.
- Willing to take ownership, use their initiative and go the extra mile when needed.
