We are seeking an Accounts Senior to join the supportive team of a growing and ambitious firm of accountants. This firm takes pride in going above and beyond for its clients but also in developing and progressing its team members. Responsibilities
- Preparation of year end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders to a high standard
- Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns
- Daily bookkeeping and preparing and filing monthly and quarterly VAT returns under all types of VAT schemes
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts to a high standard
- Liaising with clients on queries to ensure work is complete
- Assist with the development and training of junior members of the team
- Deliver excellent client service
- Ad-hoc work to support the Managers
Qualifications
- AAT qualified and a minimum of part-qualified ACA / ACCA
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in practice within the UK
- Working knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102
- Knowledge of CCH, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks and Alphatax, preferred but not essential
- Ability to develop client relationships
- Hands on, diligent and able to demonstrate excellent client interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi-task
- Good attention to detail
- Proficient with Excel, Word and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under own initiative and to tight deadlines
