The successful candidate will be required to take annual leave during school closures only; October Half Term, Winter (Christmas) Break, February Half Term, Spring (Easter) Break, May Half Term, Summer Holidays. This will be discussed in further detail with all shortlisted candidates at interview.
Meadow High School is a Special Needs School, providing education for secondary aged students aged 11-19 years with moderate and complex needs including challenging behaviour and autism. The school has received a good OFSTED report for the quality of the teaching.
Due to our expanding roll and opening of a new site, an opportunity has arisen for a full-time Site Assistant Manager to join our dedicated team of staff at Northwood Road. This is a new additional site based in Harefield Village and will house up to 100 Pathway 1 pupils, ready for us to occupy in September 2026.
We require a full-time Site Assistant Manager who is able to provide a site management service for the school site, ensuring that the school premises are kept to the approved standard or specification, and to ensure that the school provides a clean and secure environment for its pupils. The successful candidate will be expected to start their role in August 2026 initially at our Royal Lane (Hillingdon) site prior to our new site opening in September. A full induction and training will be provided.
Applicants should have:
- GCSE’s or equivalent (Essential)
- Sound experience in general maintenance and repairs (Essential)
- Experience in leading a team or demonstrate ability to team management (Essential)
- Experience working in schools, local authority settings or possess transferable skills from the private sector (Essential)
- Experience in light mechanics, scheduled maintenance and servicing (Essential)
- Ability to carry out the physical demands of the post, such as substantial walking, heavy lifting and moving items and equipment (Essential)
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team member (Essential)
- Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils (Essential)
- Ability to take initiative to prioritise workload (Essential)
- Flexibility with working hours (Essential)
- Ability to start work at 5.45am and be available to lock up at 6.30pm (Essential)
