Teaching Assistant (Early Years, Reception)

Contract type: Permanent (following successful completion of a three-month induction period)
Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm, 30 mins unpaid lunch break
Work pattern: 32.5 hours per week, Term time only (38 weeks)
Salary information: Grade 2, Point 8, £21,515 per annum
Start date: January 2026

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our wonderful school as a Teaching Assistant. We are looking for enthusiastic, committed individuals to become part of our high-performing and dynamic team. The role will be based in our Reception class.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children or for a graduate seeking experience before pursuing teacher training.

We are looking for someone who has:

The role will involve:

  • Supporting the class to help children make progress.
  • Assisting children with additional needs within the classroom.
  • Working closely with the class teacher and year group team to secure the very best outcomes for all children – academically, socially, and beyond the curriculum.
  • Covering a daily 30-minute lunch duty.
