We seek a friendly person to join our lunchtime team of School Midday Supervisory Assistants. The right person will be a willing and able team player who has experience of working with children. Our team provides guidance and support to children in our school during their lunchtime break.
Supervision of children on play apparatus, on the school playground and the large field requires someone who has an ability to multi‑task and who can be firm yet fair. Our team of SMSAs support our Welfare Officer by dealing with minor ailments in the playground during lunchtime and in ensuring children who do require medical attention are referred through to the Welfare Room. We therefore seek a confident individual with a pragmatic approach.
SMSAs are also required to support the children attending our Special Resource Provisions and/or Assessment Centre during their lunchtime. We are constantly striving to improve our lunchtime play experiences for our pupils and therefore welcome applications from creative individuals who feel they can further enhance our busy lunchtimes.
