Outreach Support Coordinator

Contract type: Permanent

Work pattern: 32.5 hours per week, Term time + 5 days (39 weeks)

Salary information: Scale 5, £25,342 - £26,474 per annum (dependent upon experience) + SSA, £1,198 per annum

Start date: ASAP

Due to our expanding roll and the changing needs of our students, an opportunity has arisen for an Outreach Support Coordinator to join our dedicated team of staff. We are particularly interested in people who have experience of working with young people with ASD and complex learning difficulties.

Meadow High School is a special needs school, which provides education for secondary aged students aged 11-19 years with moderate and complex needs including challenging behaviour and autism.

To support the Local Authority we are expanding further with a new development project. This is an additional site based in Harefield, called 'Northwood Road'. This will house up to 100 Pathway 1 pupils and should be ready for us to occupy in Autumn 2026.

The successful candidate for this varied post will support the coordination of the school-to-school support programme, planning and delivery of inset to whole or groups of staff and to prepare resources for workshops or on loan use.

Applicants should have:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. (Essential)
  • GCSE or equivalent at Grade C or above in English and Maths.
  • L3 or equivalent (2 A Levels) / above (Degree) qualification or working towards.
  • Evidence of continual professional development.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • A proactive team player.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and to follow the child protection procedures detailed in the School's safeguarding policy. (Essential)
  • Contribute positively to the overall ethos, objectives and aims of the School. (Essential)
