Whiteheath Junior School is a three-form entry Junior School in the London Borough of Hillingdon. We are a highly popular and successful school where children come first. The Headteacher and Governors are looking for a strong candidate to work alongside the senior leadership team to take lead on all aspects of Safeguarding and Pastoral Care.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to ensure the policies, procedures, systems, structures, resources and personnel in place promote the welfare and protection of children at Whiteheath Junior School and to support vulnerable families. The candidate would be expected to maintain the excellent links with our Infant and Nursery School.

The successful applicant must have experience of working effectively with vulnerable children/young people in either education, social work, youth work or another related area of work and experience of working with children within Child Protection and Multi Agency liaison. They must demonstrate excellent organisational, time management and communication skills and have the ability to work flexibly in a professional and child centred way.

The successful candidate will work directly with children, delivering pastoral interventions to support their well-being and support vulnerable families with wide ranging needs, including monitoring and supporting good attendance. This is a unique position and would suit those who are seeking a change of role and/or an opportunity to utilise and develop a wide range of skills to support children and their families.
