This is a full-time, on-site ICT / Computing Teacher role for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, based in Enfield. The ICT / Computing Teacher will plan, deliver, and assess engaging computing lessons aligned with the national curriculum, including topics such as basic programming, digital literacy, and safe internet use.

The role involves designing age-appropriate resources, adapting lessons for diverse learning needs, and integrating technology to support cross-curricular learning. The teacher will monitor and record pupil progress, provide constructive feedback, and communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and school leadership.

Daily responsibilities also include contributing to curriculum development, participating in staff meetings and training, and supporting a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and confidence with technology.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in Teaching and Education, ideally in ICT / Computing at KS1 and KS2.
  • Proficiency in Lesson Planning and curriculum design for primary computing topics.
  • Effective Communication skills for working with pupils, colleagues, and parents or guardians.
  • Training skills, including the ability to guide and support learners with varying abilities and learning styles.
  • Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., QTS or equivalent) and relevant degree in Education, Computing, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of the UK primary curriculum and current best practices in teaching computing and digital safety.
  • Ability to manage classrooms positively and inclusively, supporting safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Confidence using educational technology, coding tools, and learning platforms appropriate for primary learners.
  • Prior experience teaching in a UK school setting, especially in Enfield or similar contexts, is advantageous.
