We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Managing Director to lead and grow our client's UK business. The role carries full P&L responsibility and oversight of commercial strategy, operations, and organisational leadership across the UK market. The Managing Director will be responsible for defining and executing a clear go-to-market strategy for both residential and commercial heating and cooling solutions, working through installer networks, distributors, and key partners, while ensuring operational excellence and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial & Market Leadership
- Develop and execute the UK commercial strategy aligned with group objectives.
- Lead go-to-market approaches across installer-led and distribution-based channels.
- Drive revenue growth, market share, and profitability across residential and commercial segments.
- Build strong relationships with key customers, installers, distributors, specifiers, and industry stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activity to inform strategy.
- Operational & Business Leadership
- Full P&L responsibility for the UK business.
- Lead and optimise UK operations, ensuring efficient supply chain and service delivery.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across sales, marketing, operations, technical, and finance.
- Ensure robust forecasting, budgeting, and performance management.
- Leadership & Transformation
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing UK leadership team.
- Drive business transformation and change initiatives across people, processes, and systems.
- Embed a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
- Senior leadership experience as a Managing Director, General Manager, or equivalent.
- Strong commercial background with proven success in multi-channel go-to-market models (installers and distribution).
- Strong understanding of the UK HVAC, heat pump, or building services market.
- Demonstrated experience leading business transformation.
- P&L ownership and operational leadership experience.
Base salary: Β£100,000 per annum
Bonus: 20β30% performance-related bonus
