Senior Web Developer required for a leading client based in Oxford. The candidate will be responsible for understanding business requirements and be able to translate them into a working solution within the specified deadlines. As a Frontend Developer, you will be working on existing and future aspects of the menu with a good understanding of the architecture and processes when building an application.
Key skills & responsibilities:
- A comprehensive understanding of task planning, documentation and execution to deadlines and budgets using tools such as Jira, Confluence, BitBucket/Git
- A strong understanding of modern frameworks such as Svelte/SvelteKit, Vue or React
- A strong background in and understanding of Laravel and PHP (ideally gained with Laravel 9 or above and PHP 8 or above)
- A good understanding of TypeScript and JavaScript and how this interacts within a site context
- Experience of Linux servers in the context of deployments using Laravel Forge, Nova and Envoyer
- Understanding on MySQL and how this interacts with frameworks such as Laravel
- The ability to write, and understand HTML & CSS within and without the context of frameworks such as TailwindCSS
- Familiarity with package manager tools such as npm and yarn
- An understanding of Web Services and API integration (REST)
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha and headless automation tools such as Puppeteer, Playwright etc
- Ability to test on a variety of devices using tools such as BrowserStack
- An understanding of Web Application Security. Any Cloudflare experience is beneficial
- Good knowledge of sessions and cookies and how these are manipulated in a web context
- A mobile first approach to development
