Assistant Head of IT – ERP/Business Applications – Coventry
Salary up to £60,000
Hybrid working – Coventry travel required
Assistant IT Manager required in Coventry to manage a portfolio of IT projects, liaising closely with the Head of IT ensuring they are properly planned, resourced, and aligned with evolving business needs. The role involves delivering major IT and business-led projects, upholding best practices, and achieving business objectives. Responsibilities include holding non-IT stakeholders accountable to project plans, escalating issues when necessary, and overseeing a team of IT Business Analysts and Developers to ensure effective project delivery and workload management.
Key skills and responsibilities:
- Extensive experience utilising and integrating business applications
- Proven experience leading ERP projects, particularly in manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain environments.
- Skilled with Smartsheet and Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams).
- Manages IT project teams including Business Analysts and Developers; assigns priorities, balances support, and fosters team development.
- Oversees and reports on all IT projects, ensuring progress aligns with plans and communicates status to the Head of IT.
- Facilitates efficient project pipeline management and adapts to shifting priorities.
- Develops and executes detailed project plans covering timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Experienced in stakeholder management, maintaining open communication among internal teams and external partners, and managing expectations.
- Ensures sponsor-led project execution and maintains comprehensive documentation and regular reporting.
- Monitors project budgets to ensure financial compliance.
